Ten Inch Hero: Comments and such

If you follow my Tweets, Plurks, and Tumblr posts, you may know by now that I am gaga over Jensen Ackles. LOL Hey, no worries, even D likes the dude and he totally sees what I see in Jensen. But he is not that crazy over Jensen Ackles that he would create a website dedicated to just uploading pictures of Jensen… I mean, we’re not the type to do that okay? ;) LOL [note: sorry, it's an inside / sarcastic joke *payce!*]

Anyway, I came across the movie, “Ten Inch Hero” because I saw it in the filmography list of Jensen Ackles in Wikipedia. I have to admit that I took time to see this movie because of *ehem* the hottie hot hottiie. :D BUT I am about to comment on the movie without being biased because a certain hottie is starring in it.

Seriously though, what peaked my curiosity was the fact that Jensen looked like this in the movie:

I thought, “is he a punk in this movie? Or is he a drug addict? dealer? bad boy? what?” Then I saw this YouTube vid that was posted by a fellow Jensen Ackles fan where the hottie was shown shopping for tampons, wearing an outfit close to the pictures I saw of Jensen Ackles in the Ten Inch Hero. It was too dayum funny that I just had to have my hands on the movie.

So one night, while I was looking for something to do that did not include scouring the web for Jensen Ackles pictures, I decided to watch the movie. I realized that the movie came out in 2007, yet it really did not receive much circulation. I guess this is because it is an indie flick so there are no big wigs pushing it into the spotlight. However, in my opinion, I must say that the movie is definitely something to watch, and it is a shame that it was not well publicized.
Now I was going to spoil everything for you, but  I think I will just let you watch the movie yourself and say your piece afterward. However, I just have to say my two centavos worth of comments because… well, I just feel like it. Here it goes…

The movie does NOT have special effects, and it was NOT shot in so many locations. However, I have to say that it appealed to me so much despite the lack of the usual components in those blockbuster movies. Most of the shots revolve at the sandwich shop where the main characters work, and unlike most movies where stories revolve around the life and story of one person, in this movie, each of the main characters’ personality and secret is explored.

The thing I like the most about this movie is the fact that the level where each person can relate to at least some part of each character, and even the characters that interact with the main characters. The interesting part is this interesting truth that they kept repeating over the movie, where the characters say “Everybody’s got something to hide.” :) Do you agree?

The characters in the movie include: Shy Jen, Artistic Piper, Hippie Trucker, Sexy Tish, and Irreverent Priestly. Conversations in the movie, plus the statement shirts are definitely interesting, and it reminds me of how cool it would be to have great friends who take you for who you are, and who you can discuss almost anything about. It also showcases how friends can give tough love by pointing out your faults and at the same time still supports decisions.

Anyway, I honestly thought the movie would be boring or one that would center on the comedic parts only and nothing else. And yes, I thought the movie would just make me fast forward to the parts where the reason I watched would be in the scene. LOL However, I found myself drawn into the storyline of each person, even somewhat relating to a lot of the experiences being shown. And as always, Jensen was hilarious. I think that if most people judge the film by the movie stills and some promotional pics, they would say it must be some movie about teen angst where redemption was made or something. Watch it, I tell you.

From storyline, awesome soundtrack, great acting, nice lessons, and the EXTRA HOTTIE JENSEN ACKLES, I give this movie 100 stars. Oh, and don’t let kids watch this… it has some explicit scenes in it. Srsly. Can I give it more stars on account that hottie hot hottie is there? No? :( LOL okay. Oh, and I have officially added this to my list of favorite movies. NOT because Jensen is in the movie, but mainly because of its “realness”. Jensen is just the cherry on top of the parfait ;)

For those who want a feel-good movie, a GOOD romantic comedy, and a movie where lessons are being taught, then I suggest you watch the movie. I think it is interesting how the theme of the movie is well wrapped up even up to the movie posters. The bottom line is this: “Don’t let others tell you what your book’s cover should look like.”   Awesome, right? ;) Totally. Now go watch the movie!! Oh wait, watch this clip before you do, okay?

Peace out!
