Her Supposed Boyfriend

One of the greatest things about having kids is that they simply take your stress away, even on the weariest of days. On days when you do not have anything to do, kids also bring humor and laughter especially when you are bored. So how can life really be boring, dull, or tiring when you always have smiles and cheer from people who you love and you love back?

My kids are growing up, and I am happy that they are progressing as happy and content tots. But can you blame me if I become a bit sad at the revelation that they are no longer my baby boy and my baby girl? Yes, I admit, I miss having a widdle iddy biddy baby to carry around, but I guess I have to be content to extend my doting to baby Kharl (son of Cinderella) and the baby Mrs. Goose is having.

But hey! you know what? Seeing my children grow up is also stressing me out. Totally. Check this out: My little girl is seeing somebody – or so she says. LOL Yeah, okay, it is kinda sweet. But heckaloo! She’s still 3 years old (going 4) and she already has a boyfran? What ever happened to mud smudged cheeks, snotty noses, and cut knees and elbows? Gah! Kids these days… I swear Sophie will be the death of me. If I have not gone past the mud smudged cheeks part, does this mean she has overtaken moi? LOL

Anyway, yes, I know. No malice in the mind of the mother. I think she just picked the idea of having a boyfriend or something at home where we keep teasing her aunt, asking if she has a boyfriend. So yeah, still the fault of the grown-ups. It is quite amusing how Sophie already assumes that her father will not approve of her and her boyfran. She gets so defensive and says, “Friends ra mi oi..!” (We’re just friends!) That is soo totally “showbiz”. Still, I know her supposed boyfriend’s mom as the kid is Miss Muffet’s little boy. Teehee.. Yeah, well they are bound to know each other more anyhow.

I know you are curious as to what her boyfriend looks like, so I am sharing some pictures that I took when Miss Muffet and I left the kids at the Child Minding Center (did I mention that they met each other at the center? No? Well, they did.). This would be Sophie and her supposed boyfran “Odoy”:

The part where it looks like Sophie jumped off the bike was when she saw me snapping pics. She got off the bike and said, “Ayaw sumbong papa!” (Don’t tell dad!). Teehee. Sweet. ;)

Ahh kids.. they just grow up so fast. So kyot!!

P.S. CONGRATULATIONS TO MRS. GOOSE, WHO JUST DISCOVERED YESTERDAY THAT IS GOING TO HAVE SPAWN!! Yipee!!!
