Anthology of Snippets

Kicking off Sunday Snippets, we shall start with a nice familiar question that goes:

“If you could be any person in the world, who would you be, and why?”

Reminder: This is a free writing meme, so set your timers to 10-20 minutes and just write down all your thoughts about the topic, or not, and forget about the errors, the grammar, the spelling. Write fast, but do not rush. Ready? GO!

Answer:

I really do not know why I chose this question. It seems to me that I cannot even come up with an answer. So this is me, wasting space and time because I have to keep on writing for 10 minutes (that is the time I have set my timer to). I started writing at 7:22 AM. Which means I should be done and over by 7:32 AM. Oops! I should not have stated that… but I am not supposed to delete or correct. Which means this is my stream of consciousness you are reading right this very moment.

Back to the question. If I could be any person in the world? Heck, I would be me! Why wouldn’t I love to be me? I mean, I am me. Gah! I soulnd like Zeee’s meme. Anyway, the main reason why I would like to be me is that if I cannot be myself, I would not want somebody else to be me. That would be such a shame if somebody else would be me.
I know that is not the point of the question, but I am seriously developing a headache right now. But this is good exercise to help me practice focusing on stuff.

If I had to choose somebody else as the person who I would love to me. Well, I have a lot of choices really. First would be Oprah. Simply because she is Oprah! I like her shows a lot. I think I should be her somewhere in time.
The second person I would like to be is somebody who can write.. like authors and stuff. Like, oh, I know! Sidney Sheldon! I like the books the thoughts and the girl power!

I would also like to be “like” Robert Langdon (was that his name or did I get it wrong?) I mean, does a person with that kind of brain really exist? I mean, he knows all the things I want to know!! Interesting, I tell you. With all that stuff about the Illuminati, Templars, ah my mind boggles at the thoughts that make me giddy with interest.

And then, there are the uber computer masters. Suffice to say I might want Bill Gates’ knack for business, or the brilliance of Linus Torvalds, or or or… the brains of our IT Programming Manager. LMAO.

Okay, two more minutes and I am just about to be up.

You know, I really cannot imagine why others would truly want to be somebody else. I understand the need to say “I want to be like…” or “I want to have blahblahs …” yet to truly want to be somebody else? I think that may be highly unlikely. If you think about it, if you took somebody else’s place in the world, who would take yours? Would you trust that other person to take over your life? I wouldn’t. There is so much going on in my life that I would definitely not surrender to somebody else to live.
