Do you do Facebook? If you do, I am pretty sure that you at least have an inkling as to what Farm Town is. Yes, like Pet Society, Restaurant City, Mafia Wars, and all other apps in Facebook, Farm Town is one of those interactive games where people enjoy themselves immersed in a game that is as addictive as any drug out there.
I quote one farmer in the Slashkey forum who said:
“Farm Town is like Crack to people, is it?”
I must say that it is, in fact, VERY ADDICTIVE. Yes, yours truly has been caught with the bug and I have found it to be quite a good form of stress reliever – just as Pet Society, Mafia Wars, and other apps are to other people. In fact, I become quite happy and accomplished when I harvest some of my crop, or when somebody hires me and I get some dough to buy seeds. However, something happened today that became quite groundbreaking if you ask me.

Farm Town Application on Face Book Crashes Causing Internet Rebellion Millions of Facebook users loose access to Farm Town and protests begin on Farms across the global. Farm Town users began harvesting all the fruits and vegetables on their local farms and demand coins and experience points.
Okay, obviously that is just a joke, but the hysteria of the people? It was real people. LOL I mean, even I succumbed to something they call “Farm Town Withdrawal Symptoms” as I was honest to goodness close to bawling my eyes out because I initially thought my farm was gone. Not only that, I felt quite lost. LOL Yes folks, I have a severe case of Farmtownus Addictus. I can imagine a lot of people have that as well.
At any rate, a report came out that there was just a glitch in the system and the game was back in service after a couple of hours. LOL As always a lot of people became watchful, ever checking the page for updates. The good thing was that the developers extended the harvesting time, that way, the crops of people did not go to waste during the crash.
Around 2 pm PHT, Farm Town was back in business, up and ready for more damage.
What I find rather hilarious, though, is the fact that the response of the people to the disappearance or crash of Farm Town was insane, to put it mildly. I knew a lot of people were crazy over Farm Town, but that was ridiculous. Can you imagine the amount of emails the developers got? According to the moderators of Farm Town’s forum, the thread where the discussion of Farm Town’s disappearance moved like crazy (meaning the number of posts by the members of the forum was insane).
Suffice it to say, it was a memorable day for the farmers, as well as for those who are connected to the Farm Town players. As what a friend said, their “Wall” in Facebook was flooded with cries such as “WHERE IS FARM TOWN!?” or “GIVE ME BACK MY FARM TOWN!!”. LOL Yes, yours truly was included among those lunatics.
Anyway, somebody shared these badges to commemorate the memorable day. These are pretty, yes?

Mga adik ug FT. I keep on laughing when I see PM sa plurk inviting people to harvest their crops. I noticed one regular blogger, not doing any more posts. That’s the adverse effect. Maybe got more time in her hands.
LOL yeah.. its a bit addictive tita. but its okay. I kinda quit on the other apps so that I would not be so unproductive.
