Last night, Disney Philippines gave a two-hour premier of Aaron Stone, one of its new television series that was just released this year. To give a short overview of the pilot and the first episode, Charlie Landers (portrayed by Kelly Blatz) is a 16 year old online gamer. He plays “Hero Rising” using an avatar called “Aaron Stone”, and is known for being the best player of the said game. His life changes quite dramatically when the creator and owner of “Hero Rising” recruits him and in one way or another (plus some awesome gadgets) Charlie becomes Aaron Stone. The series then follows his challenges both while playing the game and somewhat incorporating his moves in the game to real life scenarios when he battles evil-doers in the name of good.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the episodes was, “what if children actually thought they could be something like Aaron Stone?”
I was just about to dig through my albums when I remembered that I had Ehn scan two of my old pictures for.. I forgot what purposes. Oh right, for Scrappin’ Mondaze. However, I did not really get to use them.
As per request of Maree, I would like to share my “baby” face with the rest of the world.
To reduce the loading time of my website, you can see the pictures after the jump!!
See, obviously I am such a bad blogger for failing to update my blog since forever. I planned to blog about Sophie’s first day at school, but I failed to bring my camera for the nth time. (Yes, Zee… I know I should bring it ALL THE TIME) I honestly keep forgetting so many things these days, even Ehn is starting to become my Post It of sorts when she leaves me loads of lines at GTalk reminding me of stuff – which I forget nevertheless.
Funny how I have organizers but I tend to leave it at home because of its weight. Or maybe its just because my bag is so disorganized… Or I need another bag. LOL If I do get another bag, however, I am pretty sure D will throw all of my bags out of the window. If there is anything I have in abundace, that would be it. Bags. Uh oh.. speaking of bags, WHERE did he put my BAGS?!
Right now, we are trying to figure out which tactic will have us save more money when Sophie is at school. The way I see it, I could keep buying snacks and lunch everyday, or I could prepare her stuff. Of course, the latter makes more sense, but that would mean I should be up earlier than usual. As what a friend would say, “It is all about time management!”
Okay, so yeah, time management. I can do that. First thing’s first though. I do need my organizer, just to be organized.
I shall start developing a habit!
… I think about a lot of things… I should blog more so as to unload the things that are cluttering my small brain.
LOL
I kid my friend, Dinzkie, when he despairs about his “big old brain.” I do not have to worry about that, I have a small brain and I am quite fine with that! LOL At least I do not topple over when I stand up. Nyahahaha.. More on that later.
It has been a while since I wrote something and admittedly, I have been a tad bit busy. That’s okay, you know. I have a number of updates that need to be blogged about, and oh so many things that just simply make my life colorful. But you know what makes my life even more colorful? It is seeing my children grow up even without my help. Today, is one of those days that make me want to bawl my eyes out and remember the good ol’ times. Yes, yes, I know I am a sentimental sap – I have always been. Today is one of those extra special days that really need to be documented of some sort.
How so? Today is Sophie’s first day at a Child Minding Center or a Daycare. She has not been in any daycare since she was born, and last night, when I told her that she was going to one, nobody would have expected her excitement. She was all smiles and laughter when she heard she was going last night, and I believe she even barely got any winks last night. Excited as she was, can you imagine my excitement as well?
So off we went quite early, you see. She was all smiles but a bit drowsy for lack of sleep. Still she prepped and ready and quite excited to be on our way. We reached my office a quarter before 8, even the office was still closed, and dark skies up ahead. The skies were cloudy and gray, but it did not stop her from sharing her bright smiles with us. I just could not help but be proud. Of course, she was still a bit shy at first… even just mumbling her name but she said it quite clearly, I must say.
When we finally reached the daycare center, she all but left me and ran to the toys – immediately getting on the swing sets and slides. She was running about with obvious excitement that I, myself, could not help but beam at Nanay (who was going to take care of her and the other kids). I gave her instructions and she hopped off with glee, and did not even as much as weep when I told her I was about to leave. Oh how fast they grow up. I feel sad that my baby is no longer… a baby, but, I am glad that she is quite happy and ready to take the next step.
The daycare center takes care of children for a small fee throughout the day, and with all those hours spent at the center, they get to play, sleep, eat, and learn – as teachers and social workers stop by to help them learn.
I am feeling a tad bit sentimental now, as you can see… it has been a mere three years, and look how much she has grown!!

And thou shalt in thy daughter see,
This picture, once, resembled thee.

After much starving and slaving away (exage), can I just blurt it out without any preamble, and say “Booyah! I got you my pretty, and your little bag, too!” But then again, I have not exactly recovered from this so called “exage” mode I have been on since God knows when this week. Nevertheless, in case my overly hyper manner of writing confused you, lemme just say, “I finally went ahead and bought my own digital camera.” Now I do not have any more excuses for not posting pictures of my spawn.
What did I get? I got a Samsung Digimax s760. I actually saw the camera at this store in downtown Dumaguete when I was out and about with Ehn and L.A. Upon the advice of the latter, I did a thorough research online to see whether reviews are good enough or not. Suffice to say that the reviews were MORE than satisfactory, to which I shall add my own today.
Dude, the Samsung Digimax s760 is like cheap (cheaper compared to most). You can buy one on Ebay.ph for just around Php. 4,500.00 or roughly $93.00. With that purchase, you get free AA batteries, safety strap, camera case, 1 FREE SD card, installers, and a manual. For my purchase, however, I got a mini tripod to go with it.
