A dollar, A mile.

Okay. I am so not using Ehn’s suggestion of “Piso para kay Lurchie.” Albeit humorous, it would take me forever if I go around asking for 1 peso from each person.. Although I just might go down that route if even more desperate.

So here goes my plea to those who are kind enough. Could you please donate even $1.00 so I can buy Trex II? Please see previous post for more pity..

Anyway, it won’t exactly be you just giving away money as I seriously will be giving you something in exchange.

So here is my proposed table of exchange (I made that up.. so sue me)

$1.00 = 2 (100-word) post of any topic you prefer (even if you specify keywords) + 50 EC
$2.00 = 2 (250-word) posts of any topic you prefer (even if you specify keywords) + 100 EC
$3.00 = 2 (250-word) posts of any topic you prefer (even if you specify keywords) + 200 EC
$4.00-$5.00 = 2 (250-word) posts of any topic you prefer (even if you specify keywords) + 300 EC + Custom Graphic design (see http://neverdainty.deviantart.com for some samples) + BUZZ on this blog.

**After purchase has been made, all extra money will be donated to the Carmelites Sisters’ Monastery in Sibulan, Negros Oriental in the donors’ name.**

How’s that? Seriously, I’m desperate..

If you have other ideas or suggestions as to how I should go about this, I would be greatly pleased and your comments are always welcome.

Visit CONTACT page to email me. Thank you!! (the donate button will go up shortly)

God bless!

Musings from “Sexy” to… meh

While Dhirrac and I were enjoying each other’s company over lunch yesterday, I happened to ask him a question that was previously launched at my fellow inmates at prison camp. The question was, “Which heels do you think are sexier? 2-inch heels or 3-inch heels?” And he said, “for me its not the heels that make a woman sexy…*shrugs* she could wear flat shoes, heels, or slippers for all I care… Maybe I’m just not particular about what shoes or clothing a woman wears.”

See, that was not exactly the answer I was hoping for. I wanted him to say either 3-inch heels or 2-inch heels! Not that it would affect me much since all of my shoes with heels are 3-inches (much to the dismay of colleagues and friends because I become a towering cautionary whale with gargantuan feet). But what the heck, if that’s his answer, then who am I to keep on harping about that stuff?

He did offer a follow up answer to the question. He said, “…anyway, it was different when we were just starting – as a couple.. I mean, come on! You were wearing really huge tshirts, and jeans that were equally big! And it did not help that you sometimes looked like you could kill somebody and that you somehow walked a bit boyish.. Now that was not exactly sexy… but that was before, really. You’ve changed a lot.”

Fidgeting = Lose Weight

My grandmother once told me to clamp down my normally fidgety tendencies. She said it was unbecoming for a lady, and it seriously irritated most people. It does, actually. (FYI: I fidget like crazy when I’m uncomfortable or nervous, i.e., my very own wedding where Dhirrac commented that I toyed with my bracelet incessantly)

Now, I have a reason to keep on fidgeting. Since I am trying to lose weight, and I do happen to live an ultra sedentary lifestyle, then fidgeting is all for me. Don’t you agree?

Well, studies have shown that if one “wiggles” while they work, he or she may have a chance at preventing obesity – and lose weight. Well, isn’t that fine and dandy? Now I have a reason to continue my leg moving, toe tapping, twisting, turning, stretching, hands flinging, etc. in prison camp. Yey me! At least I am holding on to a proven scientific research.

{sing to the tune of “whistle while you work”}
Just fidget while you work (la la la la la)
And hopefully together wiggle around the place
So twist and turn around (hum)
It won’t take long when there’s a song
to help you lose the weight

… i know. I made that up.. somehow “Whistle While You Work” comes to mind right now.

Scrapping Challenge End

Oh hai thar!

The digital scrapping contest at Pinay Mommies Community ended yesterday, and NO, I did not win.

However, I would like to say THANK YOU to all who voted. I am oh so very happy for your votes, your thoughts, and your efforts. I believe I would not have arrived at the number of votes I had if it none of you voted. So thanks.

To those who have not seen my work of art which some people voted on, this is it:

I don’t think it looks that hideous. Ahihihihi.. at least I had some sort of theme going on. :D

Congrats to Mommy Aeirin for winning!! :) AND to Mommy Mitch for coming in second!

** to those who joined, great job as well!! :)

Again, grazie, friends!!

Books Books Books!

That banner you see right now is the banner of our [Zriz, Ehn, and I] new book reviewing bloggie called, “Books Books Books”.

Why the name?

Once upon a time, around 10 years or so ago, three friends named izrah, inin, and lursil scoured the whole countryside for books. The ended up in an old cramped up place with walls liked with books, and tables with books piled high! They new they had arrived at Nirvana, and the went outside to see what the place was called, and they saw “BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!” written on the wall.

Years passed, they grouped together and formed the blog, “Books Books Books” in honor of their little piece of heaven.

Okay, so the place was not exactly called “BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!” I don’t know about the other two girls, but I honestly thought for a good number of months that the bookstore (which sells second-hand books, mostly in mint condition at very low prices) was called “BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!”. As it turns out, the store was called, “Old San Francisco Bookstore.”

Right, so the store moved from its very accessible location, to a somewhat out of the way place. Since the move, I’ve been there whenever I get the chance, but the three of us have never gone back there together since it moved.

Anyway, if you happen to have the time as well as interest in books, then please drop by http://books3x.blogspot.com. We give out free ebooks whenever we can, and we regularly post reviews on books that we have already read. And if you care to join us, we have assigned books to read every other week, which we discuss, after everybody has finished reading.

Oh you don’t read? Well, you should! My fine arts teacher once said that one must read at least 3 hours a day to keep his or her mind from going stale. Well, in my case, I already read 8 hours a day at work, plus a number of hours a day after work… that should make me a genius, yes? Sadly the only thing that’s happening to my brain is exhaustion. Now if you excuse me, I have to relieve my brain from its overworked state with some cartoons. Toodles!
