Here’s a thought for you, men and women. A robotic girl for men who are feeling lonely. Hmm..
Before I proceed, “RoboChix” is just a name I call the robot, ok?
Actually, her name is “EMA” (Eternal Maiden Actualization) and she “puckers up” for the needs of humans as she enters what her designers say is the “love mode.” She is tall – 15 inches in height – and she kisses on command. Although she is not for sale yet, she will be in September for a good US$175. Now who says money can’t buy love?
This new breakthrough is aimed to break the usual stereotype that robots are machines that are strong, tough, and battle ready. The product is supposed to be sweet and interactive. And as what Sega Toys say, “She’s very lovable and though she’s not a human, she can act like a real girlfriend.”
I don’t know about you but I’ve got mixed feelings on this. The geek in me is saying, “suhweeeeet!! How’d they do that?! I wanna know how to make one of those!!” but the girl in me is saying, “THAT can replace ME?!”
So okay, seriously, poor lonely man.. But can kissing take care of the OTHER needs? What happens next? Does it go to second base? Third base? All the way? Down and dirty? Does it talk, hug, cuddle, or even yell? LoL.. I still can’t see how it will “act like a real girlfriend” as girlfriends do more than just kiss the blues away, right?
What can a 15 inch robotic girl do to alleviate the loneliness in a man? Wouldn’t the man somewhat treat it like the toy dog? Make it fetch stuff? Roll over? Shake ‘em busty assets? I don’t know about you but I think that is degrading to females. A submissive toy female… Are females getting replaced by uhmm.. machines. Rise of the Machines!!
I want to see one of these though. Are there any plans to make a male version of this? Nyahahaha.. Females get lonely, too, you know!!

so we’re not really buying love with $175 are we? I feel it’s not at all enough as a “girlfriend”, even for lonely men. Might be useful for other things, though.
By the way, did that originate in Japan? The Japanese are always coming up with crazy, novelty stuff.
Lors, you might want to check out (read about) the Japanese tv series Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend). It’s about a robot boyfriend (go figure) that you can program to suit your emotional wants/needs hehe…
And Zriz, I think I’ve seen what you’re referring to >:) but I swear, it is not the most x-rated thing you could possibly see.
