Rumor mill – Pregnant or Not?

‘kay, so I’ll make this real quick. There’s this rumor going around that I am pregnant. Some have asked me, and some just went with the rumor. It is actually disturbing me right now because I have grown somewhat paranoid regarding pregnancy stuff. And in this case, these two mother hens I work with have been the main source of controversy.

Now, they have been accurate the other time, but I really hope they are just distracting the whole world from zeroing on the fact that it IS actually the other mother hen who is pregnant, and the other mother hen has a serious operation to go through in.. say.. 2 days? So that could be it.

I mean, I seriously doubt their allegations are real. Especially since I had my visitor just a couple of days back. And for good measure, I took a test a week before the visitor came around and it gave out the single-line result. Soo.. I dont think I am pregnant. But what if?

Pregnant mother hen gathers that Operation bound mother hen might have concluded that I am pregnant based on the fact that I have lost some weight. Which means that I am on the early stages of my supposed pregnancy. What they dont know is that I have been hitting the pavement with my good ol’ running shoes and entered the sort-of-Fruit-Diet I concocted. So… am I?

And to top things off, some of the BuLuYaGoNz have also asked me that question during Zr’s wedding. But that could be because my dress made me look a bit pregnant. *sigh*

I know, excuses, excuses, excuses! But I seriously do not wish to go back on my New Year’s Resolution of NOT getting pregnant. I mean, I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY do NOT want to get pregnant.. AGAIN. EVER. Okay, so maybe in 10-15-20 years or so.. NOT NOW!

I am so scared. But I dont feel pregnant. Hmm.. I dont have cravings. I dont feel pregnant. And … … could I be?

NOOOOOOOOO… I HOPE NOT.

Because I am bored…

I am going to drag some meme’s from kat. :D See if you learn something about me that you have not learned yet so far. :P

Whatcha doin?

Top of the mornin’ Govn’r! :)

It is a beautiful day once again! *sigh* Sadly, though, I was unable to go walking/running today. I really wanted to, seriously, but I guess I was just too tired from my gallivanting yesterday. In the end, I overslept. Hehehe Either that, or it was my reuniting with a certain cold perspiring bottle that knocked me out. Oh no, I did not get drunk, maybe it just had some sort of effect on me. Anyhoo, I plan to run everything off later this afternoon. And I will try not to procrastinate.
I have been a busy bee once again. What have I been doing? Well, a couple of things, you see. The first one takes me back a week ago. The website I promised I would show you. Well, my hard work did not exactly pay off quite well coding the website, so I simply chose to use one of the fixed services the Internet has to offer. That would be Jumble SALES [http://jumblesales.multiply.com]. I will not show you the coded website as yet. It is still in the works.
The second project started and stopped over the course of a year or so. But this time, I think I must really do it now. I have created yet another blog. :D This one is going to be for another kind. Let’s say, a personal blog with a twist? It’s called Never Dainty: Girl with mud smudged cheeks [http://neverdainty.blogspot.com]. I officially started it yesterday and found out, to my surprise, that I have some stuff that is worth writing on. Of course this blog will always be up and about. This is, after all, my pride and joy! Hahaha ;) But I do wish you’d visit the other one, too! Feedbacks are appreciated. Good, bad, violent, or anything at all. ;)
See, I’ve been busy, sort of. Do visit those websites. Oh please, please, please, please. [I am into begging right now. :D ]

Do BLOGS do more harm than good?

Last night, I saw STAND OFF (THE A.U.D.C) on ANC. The topic on debate was “This House believes blogs do more harm than good.” Being a blogger, naturally, I stopped my channel surfing and stuck with it.

I believe the discussion was borne out of the current ruckus on Brian Gorell’s blog attacks on the Gucci Gang, and others. It seems it had the effect the author wanted and some guilty (perhaps) parties have ants in their pants. It would seem natural to file some case for whatever damages BG made IF it were done on some other medium. But if done on a blog, what could ANYBODY do…? NOTHING, I presume.

First off, I honestly think blogs do no harm much. Hehehe.. It is what it is. An online journal. A medium to which people pour their hearts and souls into. Sometimes even poetry, music, rants, raves, and almost everything under the sun. What with technology, nobody wants to maintain the traditional pen and paper versions of blogs, rather they want it on what they always face. The computer. The Internet.

A personal journal records ones thoughts, feelings, and opinion for the day. It is not, by any means, a proven source of facts. And for online journals, it is simply for the reader’s discretion if he or she should agree, disagree, believe or not the details written in space. Newspapers claim they are the source of truth, yet sometimes we even doubt their authenticity and debate the contents. What difference is a blog? More so, blogs often come from feelings and a given few of researched facts, but not stamped on the raw truth. What is the truth anyway? Nobody really knows. It all depends on how many believe it to be true.

Here are the pros and cons of blogging.

Pros:

  • blogs allow people to connect with people all over the world
  • blogs allow friends of their authors to catch up with the lives which most often miss duty to their busy lifestyles
  • blogs are stress relievers where some come to relax and save themselves from impending insanity
  • blogs allows others to become people they wish they were
  • blogs allow people to voice out their feelings to others

Cons:

  • blogs can sometimes hurt feelings
  • blogs often mislead people
  • blogs CAN be dishonest (but not all the time)

Perhaps I am biased as I am a blogger. But I believe that the good outweighs the bad in blogging. It simply boils down to those who are reading. Would you believe what is written, point blank? Or would you take time to ponder on what is written and think of it as another piece of information learned and it is up to you to digest. Nothing is undebatable. Nothing is free from reactions. Besides, you would really have to think, “where there is smoke, there is fire.” Nothing comes out of nothing. There must be something, but it is up to you to decide which version is correct. Blogs merely give the options, the opinions, and what the author believes to be true. You be the judge.
